The latest twist in the terrible Madeleine McCann story has seen Google and Blog searches head skywards though its only the 15th top search on Technorati (Britney still number one). The BBC just got in trouble for the Radio Five Live treatment of what is now in Portugal and Britain (and in some other markets) the story of the year. I still tip my hat to Ellee Seymour for her constant reminder of other stories of missing children. Real perspective.

Thanks David, You would be amazed at the hits I get every day from around the world for these posts. I plan to write another post tomorrow, it has become difficult to maintain them daily as I do spend time and care researching them, avoiding family abductions as the missing child is at least in safe hands.
When researching my recent CIPR assignment on MPs and blogs, one Labour MP couldn’t understand why I went to so much troible if there was no financial return me. It had never occured to me to look at it that way. I do it because I am a parent, and to me, being a mother is the best job in the world, I could never imagine the grief that these poor families live with for the rest of their lives.
I so hope that Madeliene will be found one day, or at the very least, her parents will have an explanation. I will never believe they played any part in doing the unthinkable.
