Thanks to the Wonderland blog for this. It’s Sir Ken Robinson making the case at TED for an education system that nurtures creativity. There are great lessons in this for PR firms and PR people who want to be or think they are ‘creative’.
Some of his more pithy points are here in red and my PR industry equivalents are in blue:
* Creativity is as important in education as literacy

* If you are not prepared to be wrong, you will come up with nothing new
– – the biggest lie in marketing is “if you can’t measure it, don’t do it”
* We get educated out of creativity
– – we often prize management over creativity
