Our very own Rebecca Lury’s article (based on her University dissertation) on female representation in the UK Parliament which has just been published in the latest edition of the Fabian Review, the official magazine from a prominent UK centre-left think tank. Under 20% of UK MPs are female which puts the mother of all Parliaments 41st in the global league table of these things. However, women are proportionally more likely than men to hold govenrment office (the ‘Blair babes’ effect?).
