Dutch TV has just bought the show format of the BBC’s classic Yes Minister. Apparently Turkey and Inida have already made local versions. Even in recession this land can still proudly point to a long and glorious tradition of muddle headed bureacracy and TV comedy. We could be safe yet. Above is a classic scene, appropriately in this case spelling out the UK’s attitutde to Europe and indeed to Holland. Holland gave us Big Brother and we give them Sir Humphry in return.
